The Sisters of Mercy - Leysin Rock Festival, Leysin, Switzerland - 10.07.1993 (Flac)

Lineage: Trade CDr -> TLH -> Flac

NOTES: Sounds not good, I would rate it 4 on a scale from 0 to 10, so this one is mainly for collector. Some drops are present, probably due to a bad connection on the mic wire. A pity, because the concert is great with a lot of medley and extended versions of songs. First concert with Adam Pearson on guitar. Also one of the few times the band played Hawkwind's Silver Machine.

Setlist:

01. Comfortably Numb / Some Kind Of Stranger
02. Ribbons
03. Floorshow
04. More / Louie Louie / More
05. Giving Ground
06. Detonation Boulevard
07. Alice
08. Amphetamine Logic
09. Body Electric
10. First And Last And Always
11. This Corrosion
12. Flood II
13. Silver Machine / Under The Gun / Silver Machine
14. Vision Thing

Paris Riots - Jacob's Ladder (34 seconds snippet MP3)

Paris Riots is a James Ray/Merciful Release project that never saw the light of the day. Well, it kind of did, the DAT was sold on eBay along with the contract, then some CDr versions with a xerox copy of the contract. Everyone that ever bought it, paid it's price in gold and kept it to himself/herself, making it a kind of urban myth.

It exists, here's a 34 seconds snippet to prove it.

It's cool, it would be much cooler if it was complete, Way cooler if someone released it officially along with more 9 songs or so.

Don't ask for more, I don't have it. I kidnapped someone's grandmother just to receive this snippet. That's all he tought the old grumpy lady was worth.

Notes:
The first Nine Inch Nails show since the Los Angeles Wiltern show in September 2009. Different lineup and the festival stage layout is totally different than the fall Tension 2013 layout. Broadcasted from Fuji Rocks Festival and have to give a big BIG thanks to C. Morris for capturing the video in it's full 720HD with no glitches or hiccups. As this was blacked out in the United States, many of the fans in the US used proxy servers but had a lot of lag. We were putting incomplete pieces together, I thank everyone who got involved to help out. But with this, we don't need to merge anything!

This is only the audio version, you can download the video portion at the site as well.

Great performance and the new songs sound amazing! A few reworks of some of the older songs as well! This is the first time Sanctified has been played since 1996. This is the debut of 3 new tracks that will be on the upcoming album "Hesitation Marks," the tracks are "Copy of A" "Came Back Haunted" and "Find My Way."

Thanks to the taper for sharing his recording on Dime.

Notes:  Flipping amazing show by MBV, who have been musical heroes for me for almost a decade, and whom I never thought to see on stage in my life. Despite the retarded crowd who kept asking for the sound guy to raise the vocals (I have to assume they've never listened to a mbv song in their lives), this was probably the best sounding show of the weekend. I had my concerns, but they sound as great on stage as they sound on record, if not better. This particular recording is very good after some much needed sub-bass filtering and slight compression. It doesnt have any major phasing problems characteristic to outdoor festivals, and it features a mostly apathetic and lame crowd, who did not make itself heard except when yelling at the sound guy in between songs. "Only Shallow" was on the setlist but wasn't played (maybe due to technical difficulties which Kevin pointed out during the show).

The Cure - XFM Studio 68 session + BBC Janice Long session, London, U.K - 13.11.2001 (flac)

Excellent compilation. Thanks to chrispoor for sharing t on dime. Afyer downloading, you should rename the directory, changing the year to 2001 (instead of 2011).

Original Info File:

[FM masters]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This torrent has been created from a CD-R compilation of a series of promotional broadcasts (for the
band's then upcoming "Greatest Hits" compilation album), that I originally made 11+ (or so) years ago.
The first track has been omitted to meet the DIME policy on 'live' TV broadcasts where the band may
not be playing entirely live (although, having said that, on the original TV transmission, their singer,
Robert Smith, definitely appears to be singing live (not miming) - but left out to be on the safe side).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Cure
XFM acoustic session (tracks 02 - 08),
'Studio 68', Leicester Square, London, England, U.K.
Broadcast live and recorded from XFM London on
13th November 2001

Bonus semi-acoustic performance (tracks 09-11) :-
Janice Long (BBC Radio 2, presumably) session
BBC Maida Vale Studios, England, U.K.
Also broadcast on 13th November 2001,
I'm pretty sure, but possibly recorded the day before

Lineage (master FM captures) :-

XFM London or BBC Radio 2 FM broadcast -> roof aerial -> Marantz ST151L FM tuner -> Creative SB Extigy soundcard -> CoolEdit pro 2.1 -> WAV -> CD-R -> EAC -> WAV -> TLH -> FLAC 8 & .ffp

NOTES:

Have you ever seen the film, 'Groundhog Day'? In it, a man is doomed to relive
the same day of his life, over and over, in perpetuity.

Anyway, Gelsenkirchen is no Fiesole and its amphitheatre was obviously
built a couple of millennia after the Romans laid the last brick of theirs,
but it's a nice enough place for a gig and a pleasantly drivable distance from
Amsterdam, especially with friends in the car to help pass the time.

I finish my bratwürst just a little too late for the arrival of David
Kuckhermann, who appears on stage in broad daylight at a ludicrously early
19:20, a full 40 minutes before the start time printed on my ticket. Oh well.

I take my seat in the third row of block 1 and am delighted to find that the
overhead canopy that shelters the stage extends beyond my row. If the heavens
open tonight -- and well they might -- at least I won't be getting wet. At
this point in the 'Anastasis' tour, staying dry is about the only hope I dare
still harbour.

Whilst Kuckhermann's early start means that I fail to come away with a
recording of him on this occasion, on the upside, it also means that Dead Can
Dance tread the boards at 20:15 instead of the more usual 21:00. If all goes
well, we'll be out of this place by 22:00 and back in the Dutch capital at a
relatively civilised hour.

It's 21st June, the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. I'm fully
prepared for the scripted predictability of the next hour and three quarters
to make it feel even longer. My role here as observer/taper (spectaper?) feels
more like the fulfilment of a community service order than an act of my own
volition. To say I lack enthusiasm is like saying that smoking is bad for you.
And like a smoker, I have only myself to blame.

As it turns out, things aren't quite as bad as feared. There's a veritable
highlight tonight in the form of 'Ime Prezakias', which comes forth in
inspired fashion, boasting a powerful and ultimately amusing climax. It's a
welcome blip on an otherwise flat-line electrocardiogram. If this gig were
your patient, you'd probably want to tie a label to its big toe and send it
down for refrigeration at your earliest convenience.

The recording is very good, but not a patch on the one I produced at Fiesole
at the beginning of the month. There, everything came together to make for a
truly outstanding document of the evening, lacklustre though it was.

In Gelsenkirchen, there's some wind noise from the stage microphones and also
some low level rumble in my left microphone. I'm also sitting in a less than
ideal location, three rows from the front, with the PA suspended high
overhead. The result is a formidably powerful low end and the submergence of
some of the higher frequencies.

In this recording's favour, however, is that it captures a performance
superior to the one in Fiesole, if only on account of the aforementioned 'Ime
Prezakias'.

Other than that, it's hard to think of any reason that you might want this
recording. If you were there on the night, it's a nice souvenir of the
evening. If you weren't, you should be downloading one of my other recordings
instead, such as Brussels 2012 or Fiesole 2013. If you already own all of the
others and are simply looking for yet another pointless recording to download,
congratulations, you've found one.

As hoped, the gig is over by 22:00. The rainclouds finally lose their patience
and send all and sundry scurrying for cover.

We spend an hour and a half socialising with Timo, who has driven from
Frankfurt for the gig, and then we're away for some fun, fun, fun on the
Autobahn, arriving back in Amsterdam at a respectable 01:15.

Tomorrow, I get to do it all again, only this time in Brussels. I can't wait
(for it all to be over).

Samples are provided to help you determine whether this is one for you.

Some good photos of the gig can be found here:

Total Length: 4:23.57

Info: Mostly acoustic sessions, with the odd one a full band recording. Quality is mostly very good, however, there are some rougher ones.
As stated above, each session has been verified as lossless.

Compiled from a very extensive (100+ cd's) collection of Frank Black and Pixies recordings I acquired from a long-time collector. Most of it has not seen much circulation, and I will endeavor to get through some/most of it in time. I also received 10 or so DVD-r's with FLAC and mp3's of shows, some not included in the cd-r's. This show was on one such DVD-r. I do not know how these shows were converted from cd-r to flac.

Recorded from the golden tix area, 15 meters front of the mixing desk.

There are also some minor distorsions due to a small wind and all dancing happy people around me.
Otherwise, it sounds clear !

Iggy Pop - Pro-Shot Video Compilation - 1981-1996 8ProShot DVD)

When I saw this compilation on DIME, I immediatly knew it was going to be banned. thankfully I was aable to download it before deletion. So here it is. Thanks to the original uploader.

Compilation of 6 pro-shot videos of different origin, partly received in trades back in the 80's or taped with VHS video tape from TV broadcasts

Rec. Info:
pro-shot videos from different sources (VOB) -> Magix Video Deluxe -> VOB -> DIME
I created a video menue with a shot and audio of the original video I Won't Crap Out, the 6 recordings to be selected.

Video-Format: PAL, 4:3
Video-Codec: MJPEG
Audio: MPEG
Bitrate: 3.0 Mbps
Audio: AC 3 - stereo
Total running time: 46:34 min.

Compilation of the following videos:

1. Live Music Hall, Toronto 03.12.1981 (length 20:38 min):

tracks:

- Winter Of My Discontent (deleted due to official release)*
- Dum Dum Boys
- Rock'n'Roll Party
- I'm A Conservative
- Bang Bang

the deleted track can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM5jwo0IiKo

2. Bang Bang Live (synched) at "Bananas TV Show", Germany, 1981 (length 3:32 min.)

3. Interview at British Tube TV broadcast 07.11.1986 (length 11:12 min.)

4. Live British Tube TV broadcast 21.11.1986 (length 7:56 min.)

tracks:

- Real Wild Child
- Blah Blah Blah

5. I Won't Crap Out Live from "Live Aus Dem Alabama", German TV broadcast 03.07.1990 (length 4:42 min.)

6. Heart Is Saved Live from "Harald Schmidt Show" German TV broadcast 1996 (length 3:50 min.)

You might have most of the featured videos from other sources and maybe in better quality but the real highlight of this compilation is certainly I Won't Crap Out from German TV "Live Aus Dem Alabama".
Iggy is performing solo with his guitar and smashing out this song with real power in his voice.
I can't remember if the broadcast set was longer (which I doubt) but after this song Iggy is continuing
with Butt Town but the TV announcer is cutting the broadcast off.
