This was bought aeons ago from a trader who has now ceased selling. I had a special request to seed the Rockpalast Loreley show and this is the only version I have. The extras of the Tube appearances are well worth seeing anyhow and the whole goes to make up perhaps the most enjoyable of all the Killing Joke DVDs I have. Nice quality for the time and of course all of it was professionally filmed for TV. Enjoy!

This is my master of a great night. The Cure in full blast and a full house. Friday i'm in love is cut due to a not so good minidisk change. One Hundred Years and Disintegration are cut because i hit the pause button by mistake. So Disintegration gets a fade in and One Hundred Years a fade out. Boys Don't Cry also cuts in because my MD was starting to play tricks on me.
Even with all these issues i decided to upload this recording because it was never shared before. I know a few other recordings exist from this show, even with better sound but i also like the feel of this one and here it is finally available for you all.
Enjoy, share but do not profit in any way with this recording. Also use mp3 only for your personal use.
Cheers

"Here's a terrific early Raincoats live recording, taped beneath the Westway at Ladbroke Grove's Acklam Hall during their first British tour, shortly before the release of their eponymous debut Rough Trade LP. They were playing as support to Switzerland's ever-vibrant Kleenex, & Cabaret Voltaire
were on the bill too, I believe?
Needless to say, it's a shambolic delight - a joyous cacophony in some places, concise & cogent in others. Best of all, the vivacious Palmolive (aka Paloma Romero) was still clobbering the drums at this juncture. Fresh from her stint with the original, explosive Slits line-up (with whom she co-wrote virtually all of what would eventually become Cut), she only remained with The Raincoats for the duration of this tour, leaving the band after a mere 6 months citing dissatisfaction with the
music business: "I vividly remember after one of the concerts... watching people leave the
venue wasted & with a sadness & heaviness about them, & I thought, I'm helping to make them like that... I didn't want to just go along with something because it wasnpopular or profitable." > Unknown internet source

RE-UPLOAD: Crystal Castles - Glastonbury Festival - 29.06.2008 (Flac + Video)
I first heard of this band on account of their collaboration with Robert Smith, the recent torrent that appeared on DIME made want to post this. Nothing new, in fact it's three years old, but I wasn't aware of the band by that time. I joined a video of the performance to the folders. This band reminds me of Atari Teenage Riot, they have the same energy, even if musically they're less agressive. Thanks to the original poster on DIME, altruistiq.
Check This online review:
Finally, someone raised the performance bar this weekend! And few would have thought it would be the relatively minor Crystal Castles who would push the button to start the chaos of Glastonbury's final night.
Their appearance on stage is nothing special; two beatnik musicians and a dead-eyed female singer dressed like an art teacher. What they unleash is a catastrophic gnawing sound-war that becomes so intense that barriers shake and security guards cower from the tidal waves of crowd surfing people.
It's only three songs in when the power is pulled the first time. Alice Glass is writhing on the lighting rig like a exotic dancing King Kong. It's worrying the health and safety nerds, who aleady don't like the direction of this anarcho-punk rave that's got all the energy of an atom bomb and just as much destructive power. As the boos ring out, Alice climbs down and finds a working mic, riling up the crowd with an authority challenging "Who's in charge?" before a more agggrevated "We f**kin' playing?" The electro typewriter beat of 'Air War' pounds out, signalling continuation.
Yet Glass's continued energy is still causing major safety concerns. Security struggle to keep her on the stage and keep the fans off. Finally kicking loose of the two secuirty guards holding her, Glass sails in to the crowd, keeping the vocals going as she goes down through the hands of grasping fans. But enough is enough, and the song isn't even finished before a stage hand is announcing the gig is over.
Clearly outraged, band mates leave the stage, and Glass in turn runs off in disgust, down the press pit and out of sight. Desperate to get a view, fans tear at the fences. For a few moments there is a bubbling that threatens full blown destruction. But that's for another time, and the mob head out to unleash carnage on far lesser artists than Crystal Castles have proven themselves to be.

I arrived just in time for the opening Joy Division set but as the lights went
down I was still getting my equipment ready and with very little light put the mic
into the wrong input. Anyway I realised that something was a miss as the recording
levels were low so after a few seconds sorting the problem out I manged to get the
mic into the right input hence Atmosphere is quieter up till about the 1:50 mark.
Again with the New Order set I was nearly caught out as there wasn't much time
between the two sets and having gone to the toilet and bar I got back just in time but
had to fade the first track in. Anyway it's still a decent recording and was a very
enjoyable gig for me especially with Lowlife and Brotherhood being my 2 favourite New Order
releases. This was my third time watching Hooky and the second time he's had someone in
the audience ejected which is why The Perfect Kiss was aborted the first time.
Anyway, here it is nearly 3 hours of music for you to enjoy.

This is a rare radio session that has never been officially released. While not necessarily one
of their best - the three nascent Kurious Oranj tracks are taken at a slow, relatively relaxed
pace - it still has nice grinding guitar and MES' usual vocal attack.
I thought it could do with a touch of work, however as I well know some prefer 'raw' versions
I have provided both a raw version, and an 'Audacity' version, as I have had the audacity to
work on it, using that software.
Enjoy either, or both :)
Altered version -

-40pc balance to left
+ 3pc speed on Oswald Defence Lawyer as I believe it runs too slow (this sort of thing
did happen with tape copying).

Christian Death - Meerhaus, Bern, Switzerland - 25.10.1986 (Flac)
You can still get the MP3 version here: http://swisstapes.blogspot.pt/search/label/Christian%20Death
Original Info File:
This is a hell of a recording (believe me!) and yet another example of a rare clarity in sound, one that I love for the listening pleasure alone and you too might like it, even if you are (like me) not one of Valor's biggest fans. Unlike later recordings of "Valor Christian Death", this indeed still carries the true goth spirit inherent in the early era of the band and a good portion of the tracks stem from "Catastrophe Ballet", "Ashes" and the still great "Atrocities" album.
This show is brought to you thanks to Swiss Tapes (http://swisstapes.blogspot.com/2010/06/christian-death-meerhaus-bern.html), who not only taped it but also posted it in a 24/44.1 FLAC version in his blog, which simply is priceless. BUT thanks also go to Dime member Creatured who, by posting a Rollins Band show from the same taper (http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=322296), was my guide to Swiss Tapes blog, which in return led me to download the Christian Death show, love it, track it, edit it and ultimately post it here.
I wouldn't be surprised if this were a yet uncirculated recording.
I need expert help with some of the track titles, that I couldn't find on the early albums that I have.
