RE-UPLOAD: The Sisters Of Mercy - Powerhouse Ballroom, Birmingham, UK - 09.10.1984 (Flac)
Another concert from the Black October Tour, this one is quite special since it was the first time Some Kind Of Stranger was played live. The band didn't played this song live many times, until the 90's where it became part of the Comfortably Numb medley, but with a completeley diferent musical background. Again Thanks to sleepchamber for sending me the tapes to rip.

"Straight from Top Of The Pops, we have New Order! On my left, I have Peter Hook.
On my right, I have Gillian Gilbert. Behind me, I have Ian Curtis."
Listen at about 0:19 of Blue Monday for the BBC 'bong'. This was punched into
the broadcast by a hapless engineer who missed their cue. Don't settle for imitation
rebroadcasts encoded via inferior lossy algorithms!
Don't buy what Bernard's saying about his "Ceremony guitar" being a 1959 Les Paul.
He's talking shite, as usual. You'll get to hear a special bonus as I've included the
Kilkenny radio interview taped afterwards, and hear Stephen fend off the interviewer's
usual barrage, a prototype of what was to come with the Other Two drawing the short
straws and doing the press rounds.

(Audience Recording Master)
An early recording that pre-dates the gig captured on the official Manchester
Gallery release by some 8 months. This was back when 'Second Skin' was still
called 'Films' and the band could have given U2 a run for their money - if only
they'd wanted to, and if only they'd talked less between songs. Enjoy

she must have still had stiches from being kicked in the face
by a Milwaukee cop for resisting arrest...

taper's original notes:
--
The first Plasmatics gig in germany, really good quality
in my opinion,listen to MP3 sample,a good show,a great
setlist,the band on fire this night. Sex Junkie has a cut
after 48 sec,there was a lot of riot in the audience
and someone touched my Sony DC5 at the wrong place. Part2
of Sex Junkie is titled as 6a and 6b, I set a wrong
trackmark,the same happens with track 13 & 13a,
its "Corruption" only wrong trackmark from me.

source/lineage:
master tape>CDR(PhilpsCDR570)>wave(EAC)>fkacf(8)>2005 seed
** repairs:
Most of the 17 original audio files had SBE's and were roughly edited;
2 songs [Sex Junkie and Corruption] were recombined from multiple separate
tracks, all track cuts redone,
a few clicks and clipping bits repaired; files test as lossless;
new checksum files created and this info file revised;
original info file included.
Recording level was a bit low,
so for best results start out loud and turn it up when you get used to it.
Thanks to the taper and original seeder for this recording.
