Sound is pretty raw, but this is an historical performance.
This is the first Christian Death gig with joining team Valor, Gitane Demone, Constance and David Glass,
who will bring us one of the most intriging and beautiful piece of music (at least to me): Catastrophe Ballet.
New songs and new versions are tested here (ie. Burnt offerings with Electra Descending lyrics, first performance of The Drowning...) wich make this one a must have gig!
Enjoy !

NOTES:
A very special night of presentaion of their new double CD "Alpha Noir/ Omega White" with both records being played entirely in two diferent sets, completed with songs from the band's back catalogue that were close in aesthetic. Most of these songs won't be played live regulary (If ever again) at least for the time being, as the bands tour for this year is mainly festivals.
The stage was changed inbetween both sets, in the first part it was only the band with littledecoration on stage but lots of pyrothecnic, second part had three video screens with that projected films that were made by students of a portuguese video school. The videos were simple but extremely effective and gave the second set a readically diferent look. The pyrothecnics were substituted by falling "snow" on this set.
The band seemed less at ease with the "Omega White" material and Fernando decided to introduce all the songs almost from the begining, he seemed almost apologetical about the songs (don't know why, that album contains some of Moonspell's best songs in a decade). this is accentuated by the furiously speedy version of "Opium" (2:30 minutes only, probably the fastest version ever) that immediatly followed the last Omega song.
On the second set, the band was joined on stage by Carmen Simões (Ava Inferi) and Silvia Guerreiro (Godspeed Society) and Opus Diabolicum (two cello players).
The venue was full and the response to the public was quite enthusiastic to the new material. Fernando Ribeiro talked a lot, introducing songs, explaning some of the contents of lyrics and introducing the concept of the double album,I edited those talking parts into full tracks because they're in portuguese (Moonspeel native language), meaning that most of you won't understand what he says and maybe want to leave them out if burning a CD or doing a playlist.
Buy the new record "Alpha Noir" with the Bonus CD "White Omega", it really is worth it!

RE-UPLOAD: Dawn After Dark - Junction 10, Walsall, UK, - 01.04.1989 (Flac)
Cassette(Audience,1st gen,Sony FN90) > wav > Adobe Audition(Dehiss left channel of side B-tracks 12-20) > Soundforge(normalise,only used right channel of side A) > CDWave(split on sector boundaries) > flac(6)
The tape ran out during "Maximum Overdrive" and wasn't noticed for a couple of minutes. (Comparing with other versions, the last 44 sec is missing from "Maximum Overdrive" and the first 53 sec is missing from "Don't Fuck Wiv Her 'Ead".)
There's a stop/start after Make Me Proud, nothing missed. A couple of times you can hear the guy on the merchandise stall trying to sell t-shirts - the recording must have been made near the back, or it's a small venue and the guy just had a loud voice!
For side A of the cassette the left channel was very poor, fading almost to nothing in parts. It wasn't worth saving (I tried), and in the end decided to copy the right channel over to the left, so tracks 1 to 11 are in what I call "double mono". Side B was in a lot better shape and the left channel just needed a light dehissing.
They play an extra long set to make up for the gig being cut short last time they were in Birmingham(Xmas'88).

RE-UPLOAD: The Sisters of Mercy - The Damage Is Done - vinyl bootleg LP (Flac)
From original Poster TXT file:
"Here's a classic vinyl Sisters bootleg album, featuring (a repeat of) an 1981 concert from Leeds, the ABBA-cover from the Danceteria in NYC '84 and part of a fantastic audience recording of the band playing in Münster during the 1983 Europe tour.
Because everybody's probably sick and tired of always hearing the same AUD-recording of Gimme x3 from NYC, I've also added the rarer SBD-recording of the same song from Detroit '84. This led me to add two further rarities: a very good recording of Some Kind of Stranger from the Lyceum '85 (a much better recording than available on the better known vinyl 2LP of the same gig) and a SBD-recording (I think) of the band doing a short rendition of Stairway to Heaven in Blackburn '85 (this time with AE on vocals). All vinyl sources have been cleaned up."

This is a really well recorded, well balanced tape. Taken from the soundboard, it's a very enjoyable lively show with the band firing on all
engines. The mix is superb, although the bass is a little hard to distinguish - otherwise, there's no problems with this at all. There is an audience tape of the show, but this is a very definite welcome upgrade, very definitely recommended...As no checksums were included, I've added them...
Don't turn this to mp3 - decode it to wav using tlh, & burn 'em...

I’ve been meaning to work on this for some time now. I got both of these from the tapers and was asked to make a matrix of the two. The ALD is a nice supplement to the audience recording that would be great on its own, as the ALD was recorded a little low. But the ALD gives the vocals a nice boost and the sound more full!
Good performance and the last show of the US Tour. Thanks for ijwthstd and anonymous for sending over their recordings! Enjoy if you grab it!
