The Sisters Of Mercy - Belga Beach Festival, Zeebrugge, Belgium - 24.07.1993 (Flac)
And the final treat for today, from Egg_Crisis. A second audio version for the Belga Beach concert. The sound is crispier and less boomy in this version when compared to the other version that it's already on the blog. A HUGE THANK to Egg_Crisis for sharing his master recording.
NOTES:
Cassette(aud,master,TDK SA90,recorded on Saisho PS 35R with built-in mic) > wav > Soundforge(normalise uneven L+R channels) > CDWave(split on sector boundaries) > flac(6)
Tape flip a few seconds into the start of Temple of Love.
The order of bands playing were: Sunscreem, The Wonder Stuff, Van Morrison, The Sisters Of Mercy, Bjorn Again, Vaya Con Dios, Depeche Mode.
Weather was nice earlier in the day. I had a lie down on the beach and a little sleep during Van Morrison's set. That's not a criticism of Van, I felt a bit tired and the music was relaxing to listen to. It'd been a nice day but an epic rain and thunderstorm started, overshadowing by several magnitudes the thunderstorm-effect intro Depeche Mode were starting their set with. Endured a couple of songs then legged it back to the bus.
I've no idea how this compares to other versions. This is the first time I've made a digital copy of my tape, although I probably made one or two tape copies back in the day.
