The brainchild of Mr. Rodney Orpheus, the Cassandra Complex were one of the first bands of the gothic electronic underground in the mid to late 80's. Their music was strongly
influenced by german electronica of the 70's, as well as occult lyrical themes. The band is still active today, just have annouced a tour in November 2012, which will lead them
- at least - to Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig and Prague. More dates are likely to be added... I remember I liked their 1988 album, and the song DEFCON1 was a huge success on the
independent dancefloors at that time. Did see them once around that time at Osnabrueck's fomous (old) Hyde Park, but the show was far too loud and the songs were played at almost
twice the speed of the vinyl. I left during the show... Anyway, nothing of that can be heard on this recording (though I guess it was loud!), and I know you will enjoy some early
Cassandra Complex...SB.
