Lycia - The Ghost of Lycia (Early Demos)

These are some demos that Lycia made avaiable through their website a decade ago, I was trying to find them for ages in my hard drives, but couldn't... Yesterday in FaceBook Mike VanPortfleet published a link to another blog where these were, so I decided to make a mirror and publish them here also.

The original blog was "For the Greater Good", it's a nice one, you should check it out. Thanks to Sights for showing me this.

By the way, Lycia just released via internet a new EP "Fifth Sun" that I strongly advise all of you to buy, you can download some tracks for free in the band's Reverbnation web page. Also, here's the link for a recent interview with Tara Vanflower

The Sisters of Mercy - Maxim Gorki, Stuttgart - 12.11.1984 (FLAC)

AKA Knocking On Heavens Door

Thanks to sisteruli for the links.

From Original TXT file:

"This is my all-time favourite Sisters bootleg, a cracking recording of a show where Eldritch seems to be pissed off right from the first song, and continues in that vein until the very end. Listen to the between-song tirades as he berates the lively German audience and insults Wayne's sexuality. I would imagine most Sisters fans will have this one, as it has been fairly widely bootlegged, butvif you don't have it grab this one immediately.

I did a cassette transfer of my original vinyl of this shortly after I bought it, and it still sounds good to me even after 20+ years. I believe the speed is correct, as I've played guitar along to it and it matches the key pretty well.

Muse - Rock in Rio, Lisboa - 29.05.2010

I got to admit that Muse's last album it's definitively not my cup of tea, it sounds too much like Queen... But I do like some of their inicial albuns and Mrs Circle is a fan, so this is for her.

Excellent sound taken from the TV broadcast. The band only autorized 6 songs to be transmitted, but the versions of Supermassive Black Hole and Knights of Cidonia are a blast and the audience is flaming hot, proving why portuguese festival audiences are considered the top, but that is best seen in the video.

01. Supermassive Black Hole
02. United States Of Eurasia
03. Resistance
04. Time Is Running Out

Alien Sex Fiend - Sala Heineken, Madrid - 09.05.2008 (Video)

I already posted a audio version of this concerts, here's the video in MP4 format. Quite good, the entire concert filmed from the front left side in a stable position, very diferent from the other ASF concerts I already posted. Nik fiend is his usual self, providing the concert with a lot of weirdness, giant banana and inflatable dolls included.

A special THANK YOU to dtsom for letting me post his recording and video.
