Original Poster Notes:

This time David Tibet was accompanied by a reduced lineup compared
to previous shows which resulted in a more intimate sound especially
on the more quiet songs.

The overall sound was still very "Krautrock" with Michael Cashmore only
playing distorted electric guitars, sometimes posing as a "real rocker",
which was somehow funny to watch when you're used to seeing him sitting
on a chair playing an acoustic.

The setlist (alas) included much more older material again although it was
often played in a very modified form. Also there was no real surprise compared
to the past few years. But as I still find it quite hard to have a heartfelt access
to the albums that came after "Black Ships..." I'm much more happy to hear
"Dögun" again than maybe "Baalstorm! Baalstorm!".

They also presented a sneak preview of some forthcoming records - two songs
by a project called "Myrninerest" (kind of a tribute album to Jhonn Balance)
and one song from the next C93 record. The track title of the latter is a guess by
a friend who had the chance to take a look at a setlist - not sure if this
is correct or just a working title etc. - we'll have to wait and see.

The recording is OK, only during the loudest guitar parts the overall sound
in the venue was a bit muddy.

Lineup:

Michael Cashmore - guitars
Baby Dee - piano
James Blackshaw - guitars
Alex Neilson - drums
? [attractive young woman, not Joolie Wood] - violin
Andrew Liles - background noises / something

Enjoy!

  1. I beg you, please reupload this onto Mega! I've been looking everywhere for this!

Also, do you have any bootlegs of the two New York shows? "All Dolled Up Like Christ" is great but they edited out "The Bloodbells Chime" both nights. I know there's a video of the November show on Youtube right now.
