  2. hello,thanks for the share,but what's the point to offer something in flac when the source is only 320kbps.That looks like kind of flac- fetishism to me,inflating the amount of data unnecessarily. Maybe somebody feel to comment?

  3. I guess it's because Audacity can't record the direct stream. The stream is played back and audacity is recording the audio output of the stream. So, if you would save it as mp3 or similar, you would lose even more quality since it would be compressed a second time. So, to avoid that, flac is a good option. I agree that the direct stream would be better as it is smaller, but not everyone can record direct streams. Hope that helps
