Free Open Air concert in a park, in the morning. Alex Hacke on guitar. In the evening they perform in Hamburg, more than 1000 kms in distance. "Sand" is a cover of a Lee Hazlewood song. A big THANK YOU to sisteruli for sharing this one from his excellent collection.

Fair sound quality

01 - Zum Tier machen
02 - Zeichnungen des Patienten O.T.

Notes: The tracklist on the above mentioned source only lists the first six tracks, but the rest must be part of the show, because "Die genaue Zeit" crossfades into "Neun Arme".

The Sisters of Mercy - Mechanised South America Tour 2009 (Video)

So this is part of my abandoned (for now) MultiCam video project for the Sisters 2009 tour in South America. I took the source videos from YouTube and edited them. The difference between this and other MultiCam videos I've seen it's that for each song, I used only sources of that song in the same concert, instead of using sources of a song from various concerts. I like the "live" effect that creates, even if some sources are a little shaky.

I think these videos are far from done, they can be made better, but I really don't have the time to finish them in a near future, and I have material to make at least 6 more... So maybe, if I finish it, I'll make a DVD, if not, here it is in a fairly good transfer to .avi.

If anyone has suggestions about this, I'm happy to hear them.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL YOUTUBE USERS THAT UPLOADED THEIR VIDEOS, too many to list but you know who you are, and without you, this wouldn't be possible.

Enjoy.

The Sisters of Mercy - Uncover

This is the negative of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" bootleg. There isn't one note in these records played by the Sisters of Mercy. These are most of the songs from other bands that they covered, played live by it's original creators (with the exception of "Bei Mir..." wich it's the earliest live version I found). There's some real gems here (like the 26 minutes version of Sister Ray by the Velvet Underground) and some really cheesy tunes (like the Rubettes "Sugar Baby Love", but it sticks to your ear like super glue, listen at your own risk, since it probably won't leave your head for a month!), but overall it's a real enjoyable listening that should give some insight about the Sisters. What I find amazing it's how similar the Sisters versions are, and at the same time, completely different from the originals and when heard in the setlist of the concerts, one can almost forget that they're covers.

I've chosen the best sounding versions I found in bootlegs. Keeping this in mind, the version of "Silver Machine" it's cut because Hawkwind played it together with "Master of the Universe", since I find that really anoying, I also included in the directory that song, so you can listen to the two in a row without having the sensation of hearing an incomplete song.

The Sisters of Mercy - Life (Flac)

"Life" it's an italian bootleg book about The Sisters of Mercy, with lyrics, a biography, discography and a concert list. It's full of mistakes, but it's a nice item. It was released in 1988 and has the size of a 7'' single. All the copies had a free 2 tracks 7'' single or 3'' CD. Both tracks seem soundboard sourced and there's no info in the book about wich concerts they were taken from. Nowadays it's already known they were taken from two separate concerts in 1985. The image on the post it's the book's cover, since both versions of the disk have plain white covers. The file only has the music. In Flac.

01. Emma (PC69, Bielefeld, 21.04.1985)
02. Ghostrider (Tiffany's, Newcastle, 13.03.1985)
