Unlike other Radio 1 programs which played pre-recorded sessions,
Mark Radcliffe sessions were actually played live on the spot throughout the programme.
Which also meant that we could hear any mistakes, cock-ups or the true brilliance of bands
which were sometimes covered up in the production room.

But not only did we get to hear some great bands do what they did best, we got to hear some studio banter by the way of questions being fired at the band. Which at times led to some unimaginable hilarious moments.
To get an idea of how that may sound, i've included all the studio banter I had alongside the tracks.
This recording as with my other BBC Broadcast torrents has come from my own personal collection of old cassettes.

Cranes - Duchess Of York, Leeds. UK - 26.11.1990 & TV Appearances (ProShot/Audience DVD)

Thanks to rp61 and Dougal2009 for sharing this DVD on Dime.

Original Info File:

This is shared on behalf of Dougal2009
I reauthored his copy in 'TMPGEnc DVD Author 3' by adding a menu and chapter marks.
The Leeds show was filmed by Shaun and is from his master VHS tape...

The bonus section is from another Cranes dvd that was shared by our good friend DutchPunkOTR.
They were part of his Blue Moon, France 1991 offering, still being seeded here...
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=384224
However, because all the audio levels were very different, I decided to boost them to the same level
and incorporate them as a bonus on this dvd. I also placed them in order of appearance...

I've included some basic slipcase artwork for archiving purposes.

notes : It's not really an upgrade to the previous upload. This is the same audience recording but it's a known generation upload. The sound of this one has got more treble but more shuffle compare to the other one. Maybe it's only for the Banshees completist ?

O.K boys GET YER KANGO'S OUT and start driling!!
Received in trade early 90's with W d Su, a prolilific trader/taper from Belgium.
The tape received was listed as ANA1 making my cassette ANA2, the tape was a
Maxell type XL II 90.
The tape has remain boxed for all these years until Dimitroy upped a couple of E.N
recordings, this i believe will be an upgrade for some of you....hope so.

The sound is very good for an audience, the bass is sometimes a little top end but
really nothing too detrimental,  no details were given about the equipment used
to make this recording, there is no audience chatter or interference and captures E.N
during what for me was probably their creative peak.

Regarding all the latest posts about The Cure...

It seems our most recent collaborator, 100years is not to be trusted. By some reason known only to him, he decided to send me a ton of links to publish here on DCR that he copied from the

http://cureforall.eklablog.com

It seems that this blog (that I didn't knew existed until some reader commented that the link I published was exactly the one that was published there) has a ton of The Cure concerts avaiable on Mega links. Including the ones some other readers have been asking for.

So, no use to continue to post more of 100years contributions, since in fact they're all taken from this blog. I advise everyone interested in getting those concerts, to visit the original place where they were found. Posting them here is just a waste of my time, and yours.

RE-UPLOAD: The Sisters of Mercy - 30th Anniversary - The Stage, Leeds Metropolitan University, Leeds UK - 16.02.2011 (Flac)

A request from lasyboy. Almost three years ago.

Excellent audio document of the first gig of the 30th anniversary celebration. The band premiered two new cover versions, Gift That Shines (Red Lorry Yellow Lorry) and Pipeline (Dick Dale) and played More for the first time since 1993, the slow version of Body Electric was also played, like in Leamington last year, but the audience didn't seemed to enjoy it as much as the rest of the songs. Andrew was in a particulary good mood (as expected)and talked a little bit more than usual. The best line is after the Doktor crashes at the end od Suszanne as you'll be able to hear inthe recording. Extra special Thanks to rbose1 for sharing his recording. Artwork by me. Special thanks to everybody who shared their photos on Heartland and FB, they were so many that I lost track of who the photographers were, my apologies for that and if you're the photographer and want to receive credit just send me a messageand I'll update the post.

There was a real party atmosphere for this special show. We were entertained by fire
breathers outside while we queuing up, given a present of a pack of postcards and had abirthday cupcake. Andrew seemed to be enjoying the spontaneous renditions of "Happy Birthday". The emotion got to Dr Avalanche who had a brief pause from duties at the end of Susanne.
