The Misfits, Necros, Crucifucks, Violent Apathy - Eagles Lodge, Kalamazoo, MI - 26.09.1982 + Bonus (DVD)

Thanks to Chris for sendimg me this DVD to post here.

Original Info File:

Thanks to squirly, we bring you the complete, uncirculated 37min Misfits set from
Kalamazoo 1982-09-26. Taken from squirly's 1st gen tape, this marks the first time the complete
Misfits set has been made available to collectors. Prior to this surfacing, only 13mins of their
set was known to exist.

While this first gen upgrade has a very rough start (the first 13 mins of visuals exhibit top-of-screen
tearing and reoccurring frame loss due to deterioration of the source tape. Audio is not affected.), the
tape does settle down after that. This upgraded version stands head n' shoulders above what was previously
available in both quality & completeness.

Bonus:

I) Misfits
1979-01-?? @Studio Zero, NYC

(6:50)

-Peppermint Twist
-I Wanna Be Your Dog

The earliest circulated footage of the Misfits......sorta.

Misfits central has this to say about it:
"Although this is not a Misfits recording, it comes close. Jerry and Glenn spent an evening at Studio Zero
and got up on stage to perform some cover songs with their friends. The first song was performed without
either Jerry or Glenn, although they both appeared in the audience. "Peppermint Twist" was originally performed
by Joey Dee And The Starliters and "I Wanna Be Your Dog" was originally recorded by The Stooges. "Trash" and
"Vietnamese Baby" were New York Dolls songs. The drummer Dave later auditioned for The Misfits when they were
considering replacing Joey Image. This video is owned by Bobby Steele and has not been distributed."

Also according to MC, this video runs 20min when complete -- with 3 additional songs, none of which Glenn & Jerry perform on. These two songs represent all of the footage that has been distributed as of 2008 (MC needs to update their listings, this 7min worth has been traded for years).

II) Misfits
1983-06-11 @Santa Monica Civic Center, Santa Monica, CA

(4:19)

-Green Hell
-Wolfs Blood
-Vampira
-Devilock

This 4 minutes remains the only piece of the video in circulation.
The Misfits & the Vandals opened for Black Flag, this was of course their legendary, "Everything Went Black" re-union gig where Chavo, Dez & Henry each performed a set on vocals.
