The Last Rehearsal Before First Concert.
This tape was recorded at the last rehearsal before the band played their first gig at the Electric Ballroom in 1986. The track Blood From Stone was actually left out of the set and never played.
This is a direct transfer from the original tape, no filtering, no noise reduction, no EQ, nothing. This is not the same upload that was on Dime recently, that had and intermediate MiniDisk transfer, this is a better sounding version, shared on MyHeartland forum.

Gary Barrett (alfienoakes on Dime) RIP
Gary was a well-known figure in the Glasgow music scene, after working in A1 Sounds / Fopp and Avalanche Records for over 20 years. He also promoted a few shows in the mid 80s.
When minidisc technology emerged, he immediately set himself up for recording and began chronicling all the gigs he attended. This is a record of all the existing MD’s I found in his massive music collection, which his brother asked me to transfer on to hard drive.
Gary passed away suddenly from natural causes in Sept 2006, ironically just after he purchased his first HD recorder and only got to record 2 shows with (Green On Red at King Tut’s being the last one).
Big thanks to jamroom for taking over this project and the many dimebots who have helped him in this massive endeavour. This MD Project is a tribute to Gary's passion for live music and supporting local and small touring bands.

Recording notes and sound quality:
Added fades and boosted the volume by +7db. Sounds pretty good, but some vocal peaks have a little distortion. There are also a few talkers around. What's new there!
Many thanks to egg_crisis for help with the setlist.

Engineered by Diane Kamikaze Farris, who writes...
The only time I ever met Ari was at WFMU in 2003. Working with her on the broadcast from 582003 was playful, fun, and nerveracking at the same time. She seemed to live to break barriers, to always try new things- which sometimes in the studio could momentarily cause upset and consternation. I found myself saying more than once, what the hell is she doing In the broadcast itself, you can hear her own astonishment sometimes when it was time for another song. She choreographed every song and every move, even though it was radio. She went from 0 to 60 in less than a half dubstep.
The True Warriors performance had been booked by Jen Klein who assisted Pat for quite some time, and Ari assumed I was Jen, and I didn't make the correction for her, and actually didn't realize it until the set was underway. There was a break in one song where she chanted Jen Klein, Pat Duncan and WFMU over and over again- all the while looking at Pat and I through the glass and smiling with a big thumbs up. She seemed pleased that she was including Pat and myself in the performance itself even though we were in the other half of the studio. It was evident that her heart was huge and it was all about creating her life from minute to minute. These recordings are a pretty great example of her vast energy and originality. -Diane Kamikaze

I am putting this up because it is pretty rare, but I don't know much about it. This is the only surfaced recording (that I know of) of Trent Reznor performing with RevCo. I honestly don't hear his voice much, but again, I am not to familiar with them. Additionally, disk 2 has some static in it. That is the way my
recording is as well. Despite that, I hope you all enjoy it!
