RE-UPLOAD: RE-UPLOAD: Christian Death - Roxy Theatre, Los Angeles - 06.04.1985 (Flac)
Another rarity shared by Superblasted. A Huge Thank You to him for this week of Christian Death Delights.
Original Info File:
"The Path Of Sorrows" performance.
(not to be confused with The Path of Sorrows album released in 1993)
Lineage: Audience recording > unknown generation tape > CDr trade > EAC > Audacity > WAV > FLAC > You!
Audacity was used to split tracks, speed correction and removing some cuts.
This one is the only know 1985 recorded performance with still Rozz on vocals!
I tracked down this show for so many years, and so far it's the better source i've got.
The sound is a bit muffy and loud but overall good. I tried to level up the high frequencies but the result wasn't satisfying, and too saturated.
So this is the direct transfert from what i got. It got some little pops on a couple of tracks however.
If someone feels like improving the sound of this historical performance, or even better, has a low gen source, please process and share!!
Christian Death performed a series of gigs entitled "The Path Of Sorrows" in march/april 1985 in America to promote "Ashes" album.
The Los Angeles gig at Roxy Theatre on 6 April 1985 is a multi-media extravaganza featured films, a banquet, and a program. Kristina Fuller coordinated and supervised the visuals, film sections and Rozz's four costume changes.
In late April 1985, Rozz officialy left Christian Death after a phonecall to Gitane Demone, leaving Valor to take the rest of the band to Italy as part of the European tour.
The Rest of the story is well known, Skippy hijacked the name, even if he agreed to performs as "Sin and Sacrifice of Christain Death" at first.
Who knows how Christian Death could have evolved if Rozz stayed in the band...
So 25 years ago was the Path of Sorrows.

RE-UPLOAD: The Sisters Of Mercy - Pukkelpop Festival, Hasselt, Belgium - 29.08.1992 (Flac)
Another upgrade to Flac.
Notes: Sourced on Silver CD bootleg Electric Live. Last track Comfortably Numb, is actually the first track of the concert. I didn't corrected that,
leaving the tracklist as it is on the original silver CD.
Lineage: Silver Bootleg CD -> TLH -> Flac (level 6)
Info from www.sisterswiki.org:
A reasonably good quality gig, the crowd noise isn't too high, though the people around the bootlegger can occasionally be heard cheering or singing along
(for instance, a female seems to be singing melodically along to Mother Russia).
This is the last gig with Tim Bricheno, and the first time since the gig in the Royal Albert Hall that the band played Sister Ray. Even after this,
they wouldn't play it again until the 1997 Distance Over Time tour.
Conversely, this the only gig on the tour without Stop Draggin' My Heart Around sung a capella, though it is sung during Sister Ray.
Tracklist:
01. First And Last And Always
02. Ribbons
03. Alice
04. Dominion
05. Mother Russia (Dominion and Mother Russia are listed separately on this CD, though performed as a medley)

11. More

16 Monitor 7:40
17 Helter Skelter 3:35
Some volume fluctuations in "Dazzle" - I suppose the taper needed to adjust volume as soon as the song explodes. Otherwise great sound.
Great performance - highlights are "We Hunger" (flawless deep voice), "Desert Kisses", "Into The Light", "Red Light", "Christine", "Monitor" - don't think I've ever heard better versions of these songs.
The live version of "Desert Kisses" sounds like the demo version included on the Kaleidoscope remaster (though played live obviously) and "Into The Light", stripped of its backing vocal, sounds like the Peel Sessions version.
The Fall - The Stone, San Francisco, CA, USA - 11.07.1981 (Flac)

Anne Clark - Pandora's Music Box Festival, De Doelen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands - 22.09.1984 (Flac)
Short but very good FM broadcast.
Tracklist:
1 Nothing At All
2 Our Darkness
3 Sleeper In Metropolis
Lineage is : cassette > Audacity > CD Wave Editor > FLAC
Some tape hiss may be audible or some FM static. All tracks and bands were recorded and broadcasted by VPRO Radio.
Anne Clark is an English poet and songwriter. Her first recording was The Sitting Room in 1982, and she has released about a dozen albums since then. Her experimental music occupies a region bounded roughly by electronic, dance (techno applies on occasion) and possibly avant-garde genres, with varying hard as well as romantic and orchestral styles.
Clark is mainly a spoken word artist, but she also plays piano and occasionally accompanies herself, with piano and voice mixing in a somewhat atypical New Wave style. Many of her lyrics deal critically with the imperfections of humanity, everyday life, and politics. Especially in her early works she has created a gloomy, melancholy kind ofatmosphere bordering on weltschmerz. On these recordings she is accompanied by a backing tape written by David Harrow, with whom she wrote and produced her 1984 album "Joined up Writing".

It sounds like all of the music is here, but there are some choppy segues by the announcer.
This show is from the Stonecutter Archives who was kind enough to share some of his tapes for this forum. If you have masters that you would like to share PLEASE contact me or anyone that is willing to work on them to get them out to the collecting community. Thanks.

Information:
This night Vendemmian played Club Moby Dick for the 3rd of their reunion shows. Now a 3-piece, Dave & Mark were joined by Voices Of Masada bassist Danny, Vendemmian benefitted from an blissful combination of the best venue PA / sound engineer combination that I have heard in a very long time, the rerecording of all their backing tracks onto a sparkling 24 track digital mixer and the best performance I have ever seen them deliver. Don't tell them, (egos and all that), but they were magnificent!
