received this tape in the mid '80s listed as 'St. Mary's College,
Queens'. I can find no such college so it must be Queen Mary's College,
London as they hadn't been to the US until March 1985 to have played in
Queens, N.Y. and I don't think they would have played at St. Mary's
College, Belfast, Ireland since their website indicates no shows played
in Ireland that year. Any clarification would be appreciated.

Notes : Sometimes things fall into place as a taper and you make a tape
that comes out great, this was one of those nights. This was probably
the loudest show I have ever attended. The satyricon room was about the
size of kitchen at the back of the bar. I remember Curves speakers
took up more than half the room and I put myself dead in front of one
of them so the combo of loud volume and nobody near me worked out well.
My friend who taped the next night also said it was the loudest show
he had ever seen, and he hit about 100 shows a year. Bottom line, Curve
played at massive volume levels which suited there sound on the 93
tour.

curiosity related to the DCD. This band supported Dead Can Dance in the
1986 tour and Lisa sang in one of the songs, wich aparently was
demo-ed. Thanks to whiskybob for sharing it first and to cEnda for the
links.

Received in tape trade back
in the 80's. Heavely Bodies played support to Dead Can Dance and
featured Lisa Gerrard although I belive this was on an ad hoc basis
rather than a permenant member.Track 2 could easily be a Dead Can Dance
song.
Details surrounding their two sets of demos are scetchty at
best and I'll be amazed if anyone comes up with the correct title track
or details of studios involved & specific dates.

These are two sets of Andy Prieboy-era Wall of Voodoo demos, one set for each of their two studio albums.
The
first group probably shouldn't be considered demos for "Seven Days in
Sammystown", because aside from "Museums" and "Far Side of Crazy" none
of these songs made it onto the album. A different version of "Deep in
the Jungle" was released on the "Weird Science" soundtrack, and a
version of "Dance You Fuckers" was later used as a b-side, but the
remainder of the "Sammystown" demos remain unreleased.
The second
set of demos closely approximates the actual "Happy Planet" album, with
the exception of "Jackel" which remains unreleased and "Wrong Way to
Hollywood" which was used as a b-side.

Keith Levene quitted the band in 1984 and took the masters of the supposed new album with him, releasing them in the USA on a record label made just for that purpose. This can be seen as the demos of the This Is What You Want album since most of the songs where released in another version on that album. Thanks to propylaen2001 for sharing this rip on TTD.
