Here is the recording of the Lisbon concert, two days ago. It was an excellent concert, light years of distance of the last two gigs the Sisters gave in Portugal. If you were not there, now you can hear what you've missed. The photos are from portalgotico.com, they've some more there and an interview coming soon, go and check them.
It's an audience recording made with a Sony MD - MZ-R91, using a Sony ECM-MS907 stereo mic. The MP3 version is equalized in Final Cut Pro in .aiff format and converted to MP3 320 with FairStars Audio Converter 1.73. The WAV version is mixed in Protools by 667, our thanks to him. It was made by the staff of the Dark Circle Room, we think its a very cool recording, but any comments about the quality are most welcome.
Due to technical problems with the MD the first three songs were not recorded in good conditions, "Ribbons" is beyond repair and "Train / Detonation Blvd" is incomplete.

Thanks - I was just wondering how the concert went. Look forward to hearing it.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent work dear friend! If only those stupid screamers shut up they're filthy mouths! Vons wannabes...or are they football commenters on anfetamines?

Shit music. Alice (listened to a bit), Flood I (Pink Floyd solos?, next), Floorshow (eatable), Anaconda (skip, pure rubbish, and a great song it IS), Marian (who are you kidding? - PRESS STOP. GOODBYE
ReplyDeletethanks for the recording, though.
Sisters 81-84 Great band
Sisters 84/85 Best Band Ever
Sisters 86 great curiosity
Sisters 87/88 good band
Sisters 90-92 ok
Sisters 93-99 let's go and see them play
Sisters XXI century - pompous shite
Andy and Wayne, swallow your pride fire the rockstars wannabes, kiss and make-up. Gary and Craig follow the example.
Volta Wayne 'tás aperdoado!
I actually think that if they re-united it would really mean that the decadence was installed... But I have to admit that Craig bass is greatly missed, can't understand why they don't get a real bass player...
ReplyDeleteWhat did you thought of the recording? Soundwise of course, we already know that the content didn't please you...
With a good and creative bass player and perhaps two new guitar players ( let's face it, they're much better but still far away from the required brilliance ), Sisters would be perfect. But perfection is dangerous! Let it be... as they are now, they're still the best rock band on earth! Oh, and certainly the most paradoxical...

How are you getting on with the "other two" songs?
ReplyDeleteThe recording is excellent - very few drops (only during something fast) and the performance is as good as it gets (for current Sisters). It's just a shame about the "screamers" as mentionned above - 'though I would have rather said talkers (can't understand people who go to concerts and talk through the songs - it's impolite for the performers and annoyning for the audience around.)
