RE-UPLOAD: Love & Rockets - Roxy Theater, Hollywood, CA, USA - 09.05.1999 (Flac)
The second-to-"last" Love & Rockets show. Thanks to judgesmails for sharing this one on DIME.
Sound quality: A-
audience recording > 2nd generation cassette received in trade > recorded to hard drive > fades added and tracks separated using Cool Edit > burned to CD > extracted from CD using iTunes > FLAC > you!
** confirmed as lossless using EAC **
Original Notes:
Love & Rockets had made a formal announcement that they would be disbanding after their two Hollywood shows at the end of the "Lift" tour, so the band and crowd were all well aware of the significance of these concerts.
In fact both shows were professionally recorded for an intended live album, but some dirtbag managed to steal the recordings of both performances after the end of the second show. Luckily there was an audience recording made during both performances, and I was able to get 2nd generation cassette copies of each show shortly thereafter.
The setlist for both shows was the same as in San Francisco (May 6 - previously torrented). That show has better sound quality, but these shows have reasonably good sound quality as well and both are worth having for their historical significance. The crowd is noisy at times, but their enthusiasm is entirely appropriate and I can forgive all of their noise aside from the woman who keeps shouting "Daniel Ash, I love you, you have beautiful eyes!" That person is embarassing and annoying, but thankfully she only makes an appearance on the May 10 recording.
Of significance:
- "Kundalini Express" is cut short - it was that way on the cassette that I received, and I believe that the cut is original to the master recording.
- Janes Addiction drummer and vocal L&R fan Stephen Perkins joins the band for 3 songs during the encores.
Setlist:
1. My Drug
2. RIP 20C
3. 20th Century Boy (T. Rex cover)
4. Holy Fool
5. Delicious Ocean
6. Deep Deep Down
7. Pink Flamingo
8. Party's Not Over
9. Kundalini Express (cut short - likely due to tape running out)
10. Mirror People (slow / fast version)
11. Space Oddity intro. / Yin & Yang (the Flowerpot Man) **
12. 2000 Light Years From Home (Rolling Stones cover) **
13. Ball of Confusion **
14. No New Tale to Tell
** featuring Stephen Perkins from Janes Addiction on additional drums

RE-Upload: Love And Rockets - Metro, Chicago, USA - 08.12.1985 (Flac)
Continuing the L&R dedicated week. This time one concert from 1985. Thanks to judgesmails for sharing it on DIME.
Sound quality: A-
audience recording > cassette received in trade > recorded to hard drive > fades added and tracks
separated using Cool Edit > burned to CD > extracted from CD using iTunes > FLAC > you!
Original Notes:
Anyway, this is the real jewel of the 1985 gigs / recordings. Not only is it the best sounding of the
1985 recordings (at least as far as I'm aware), but it's one of the few that includes the almost-never-
performed Love & Rockets version of Tones on Tail's "Go!". If you have even the most passing interestin Love & Rockets or Tones on Tail (or Bauhaus or any of the other "Bauhuas family" projects) this isa recording that you should have in your collection. Thanks go out to the anonymous taper - they dida nearly-perfect job, from intro. tape all the way to the end. Enjoy!
Setlist:
1. "Swing Intro." (certainly not the correct title, just my name for the intro. tape)
2. Inside the Outside
3. If There's a Heaven Above
4. All in My Mind
5. A Private Future
6. Dog End of a Day Gone By
7. Love Me
8. Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven
9. Haunted When the Minutes Drag
10. Yin and Yang (the Flowerpot Man)
11. Lucifer Sam
12. Go! (Tones on Tail cover - rare!)

Love And Rockets - Palladium, Hollywood, CA - 20.12.1986 (Flac)
You asked for more L&R, here's an FM recording from 1986. Enjoy it. Thanks to judgesmails for sharing it on DIME.
Sound quality: A-
FM broadcast recorded to cassette > cassette received in trade > recorded to hard drive > fades added and tracks
separated using Cool Edit > burned to CD > extracted from CD using iTunes > FLAC > you!
Original Notes:
The good news: this is an FM recording from the "Express" tour. The bad news: the full show was not broadcast, and my copy of the tape seems to have been several generations from the master. Nevertheless, this falls under the category of "must-have" for all L&R fans, and it serves as a nice companion piece to
some of the better audience recordings from the 1986 tour (namely the Boston show from Nov. 6).
As a bonus, I have included a KROQ interview with Daniel Ash that was recorded around the time of this
concert (and possibly on the same day). I haven't listened to the interview for many years, so I can't
remember if they make reference to the day of the interview, vs. the day of the Palladium show.
Setlist (incomplete):
1. No New Tale to Tell (early version)
2. Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven
3. Kundalini Express
4. All in My Mind (acoustic)
5. An American Dream
6. Yin and Yang (the Flowerpot Man)
7. It Could Be Sunshine
xx. Ball of Confusion / War (omitted - released as b-side to "Rock & Roll Babylon" single)
bonus track:
8. Daniel Ash interview on KROQ-FM, Los Angeles, December 1986

Love And Rockets - Cat's Paw, Atlanta - xx.12.1995 (Flac)
There was some requests to extent the Love and Rockets week, so here's another recording, an excellent FM broadcast. Enjoy. Thanks to judgesmails for sharing this one on DIME.
Sound quality: A
FM radio broadcast > cassette received in trade > recorded to hard drive > fades added and tracks
separated using Cool Edit > burned to CD > extracted from CD using iTunes > FLAC > you!
** confirmed lossless with Exact Audio Copy **
Original Notes:
In late 1995 L&R did a mini-tour in promotion of their new record "Sweet F.A." As far as I know there aren't any audience recordings from any of these shows, but luckily two of the appearances were broadcast live on the radio.
This is the better-sounding of the two radio broadcasts, and it also features a longer set.
Tracks:
1. Intro.
2. Natacha
3. So Alive
4. Judgment Day
5. No New Tale to Tell
6. Use Me
7. Sweet Lover Hangover
8. Sweet F.A.

Love And Rockets - The Wiltern, Los Angeles, CA - 05.09.1988 (Flac)
Another L&R recording, sounds very good and a great setlist. Thanks to the original uploader
Source: AUD > analog cass > Sound Forge > WAV > mkwACT > SHN > WAV (via TLH) > FLAC (level 8)
Quality: B+
Original Notes: I created this 2CD set from an audio cassette I purchased years ago. There are some drop outs between songs along with a few minor dropouts in the songs, but given the scarcity of L&R live
shows, this is a good one. For an audience recording it sounds pretty nice. Vocals up front.
Guitar and drums up front as well. Bass is a little low and distorted but totally listenable.

Love And Rockets - Metro, Chicago - 09.04.1996 (Flac)
This one sounds very good. Thanks to JB for sharing his recording on DIME.
Original Notes:
This is a 16bit / 48KHZ recording. It cannot be burned to a cd, unless you convert it to 44.1KHZ.
The FLAC files were created using CD Wave 1.98, and they were tested using Media Monkey 3.1.1.1261.
The Sony D3 DAT used it's own special rechargable battery. It only seemed to work well for about a year. By 1996, I only had one working battery. It died before the end of this show. Ying & Yang The Flower Pot Man & Sweet FA were not recorded.
