Peter Murphy - Coliseu, Lisboa, Portugal - 02.10.2011 (Flac)

The second gig of the European "Ninth" tour. A strange night, the concert was plagued by technical issues at the beggining, apparently the drums couldn't be used, so Peter played the acoustic/drumless songs of the set in a row instead of waiting for the problem to be solved.

With the setlist totally mixed up and the flow of  the concert damaged (in Peter's own words, I wouldn't go so far...) the rest of the concert was played in a relaxed mood with Peter talking a lot to the audience.

If by now you're thinking if you need to hear this one, let me just tell you, Hurt, All Night Long and Silent Edges are huge, the best versions I've hear so far, also the new songs are quite good and his backing band has a more "rock" sound than the previous ones, wich is quite refreshing and influences also the sound of the older songs.

If that wasn't enough they play In The Flat Field (probably my favorite Bauhaus song), so miss it at your own risk.

This version is my MD master, there's at least another version recorded by ziggyswoon that you can also get on DIME.

Recorded by circle.
Recording Gear: Sony MD MZ-R91 with Sony Stereo Mic ECM-MS907
