PJ Harvey - John Peel Show, London, UK - 02.05.1992 (Flac)
Lineage: Bootleg Tape (Low Generation) -> M-Audio Quattro Soundboard -> Audacity -> TLH -> FLAC (Level 8)
Notes:
Bootleg tape bought around the time of the broadcast, so very low generation for sure. Sound is very good for it's age. PJ harvey appearing solo on the John Peel Show, playing an improvised session consisting of a couple of songs that would later appear in her 1993 album "Rid Of Me". The session engineer, Julie, has some problems with the mix, on the first song the guitar is too loud and you sometimes don't hear Polly's vocals, trying to solve this, the second song has the guitar extremely low and it almost seems like an acapella version with some distant background noise...
Even so, it's a very nice document. I kept the John Peel talking parts and the conversation with the engineer, that help to give an insight on the session.
Huge Thanks to JH for sending me the tape to transfer and share, all the way from Australia!
