YOUR EARS AND MIND...
This tape surely made the rounds on the cassette tape circuit in the 80's, but as far as I know, without any real stated generation or even less with an equipment info. So, let's try it for this very good sounding 1st gen. tape. Sounds very good, no chatters, disturbing noises audible, only the vocals are a bit overpowered. Instruments sound clear in the mix, with the drums and the keys dominating. Quite usual for music like this.

X-Mal Deutschland (X-times Germany) were founded as an all girl waverock band in 1980 in the lovely city of Hamburg. Going through some changes of the lineup, their music style finally
settled down on the darkwave sound of similiar more successful artists like SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES. But as this was a german band, more technoid influences from the famous german
krautrock electronic bands like KRAFTWERK seem to have influenced their sound as well as the - then popular - mostly minimalistic approach on music, called NEUE DEUTSCHE WELLE. As far as
I can remember, they got a strong interest in the upcoming goth/darkwave scene at the end of the 80's. But as the band disbanded by the very early 90's, all is history...
So, now let the tape get rolling. Enjoy!. SB.
