The Last Rehearsal Before First Concert.
This tape was recorded at the last rehearsal before the band played their first gig at the Electric Ballroom in 1986. The track Blood From Stone was actually left out of the set and never played.
This is a direct transfer from the original tape, no filtering, no noise reduction, no EQ, nothing. This is not the same upload that was on Dime recently, that had and intermediate MiniDisk transfer, this is a better sounding version, shared on MyHeartland forum.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you very much for sharing. It's a great gig for me, it's a great sound in my opinion, drcvault are also GREAT.
ReplyDeletePlease, share more concerts of The Mission, we were not enjoying them, sniff, please.
I have got Mish concerts and I can share here.
DeleteYes please anything from the Mission 1986 and 1987 is awesome. Sadly after the Children album all went downhill... If you could post a good version of the video Crusade I would be very happy. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteImpressive. Great sound. The 'Blood from Stone' track with 'Love me to death' music but different lyrics is something special. Quite a few of the other tracks have some interesting musical differences from later live and recorded versions: And The Dance Goes On, Shelter, From the Storm and Over The Hills and Far Away
