Disintegration 30th Anniversary
Show #1/5
These 5 shows are from my master recordings, I'm sharing all 5 shows as 16bit/44100Hz and 24bit/96000Hz, straight from SDHC card to laptop hard drive, haven't done much to the raw master files except amplified volume as when recording I had gain set low enough to make sure it didn't clip/distort, tracked and downsampled to 16/44100, that's about it, haven't EQ'd or anything like that, people can do that for themselves to suit their own taste in sound, bit of treble sounds really
good. I know some people like to know recording spot (Stalls Q34 *same as show #4).
All 5 shows are complete and uncut from beginning to end.
Roland R-07 digital recorder (limiter off, low cut frequency off) > Sound Professionals SP-SPSB-8-MKII 9 volt battery box >Sound Professionals SP-CMC-4U (also known as Audio Technica ATU853) cardioid stereo microphones with low sensitivity modification SP-ATMIC-MODIF. Mics on sunglasses arms ontop of head pointed at stage/hanging stacks.

aah, im so use to using my Mini Disc Recorder i still havent got my head around these digital recorder things and am still experimenting.
I decided to use the ''automatic recording level'' cause it always worked with MD so well for me.
Not the case with these things! my 3rd recording in with using it and its pretty blown out. id say more for collectors only in this case :/ some songs are bad, some are tolerable maybe even kinda good. at least i know what def NOT to do again esp when im really close to the stage. oh well. i figured id share it anyway.
Turn your volume down on this one.
share freely, never sell or try to make money on youtube with bootlegs! thats the new f'n problem if you ask me.

The Cure - Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Barclays Center, NY, USA - 29.03.2019 (Flac)
Thanks to inez for taping and sharing this recording on Dime.
Taper: inez
Location: section 16, row 18, dead center directly below SBD
Source: AT831 (SP-CMC-2) > SP-SPSB-11 > Sony PCM M10 24/48
Editing/tracking/clean-up/ downsample to 16/44.1: inez (Izotope Rx/Audacity)
Mastering/ volume adjustment (ZH): Izotope RX EQ, Waves on Adobe Audition
Alright, I admit - I have zero interest in this Hall of Fame thing… BUT: two of MY top bands - Radiohead and The Cure - getting in, miraculously, the same year. And it was happening my back yard lol So this meant enough to me to pay whatever I paid for my Silver VIP something rather ‘taping spot’… And I do not regret it for a second. Even though I had to endure Def Leppard ;) But hey - it could have been worse - it could have been Janet Jackson! lol
SO - THE CURE nailed it!!! They took the place by storm and - sorry, fans of everyone else - it was pretty damn obvious that noone else and noone else’s impact on the crowd came close. They owned the place :-) I wish they just kept playing … right from the first powerhouse of a note of Shake Dog Shake shit was coming down heavy… Robert said that they opened with it in memory of Andy Anderson, their drummer in 1983-1984, and who just passed away a month ago (RIP Andy). I would also add that Trent Reznor’s (Nine Inch Nails) intro/induction was heartfelt and really powerful.
Recording-wise - this is probably the longest I kept my recorder rolling in my life :) It was all fine, I bought this seat for a reason... Intros/talking - those are always a challenge as audience responses are much louder that speaking, but thanks to ZH - Trent has been ‘volumized’. Ultimately, introductions aren't there for fine sonic qualities! And ZH did some magic touch-ups on the rest :)
I included a few shots of the 'pink sheets' 40 page booklet - the perks of camping by the SBD lol
So ENJOY! Happy upcoming 30th anniversary of Disintegration!!

Performance / Recording Notes:
I was looking forward to this show for well over a month. The event organizers and producers announced that tickets for the screening of the film (and concert) would be made exclusively for those that purchased the soundtrack at one of four designated stores on RSD.
I spent that time formulating a strategy that would all but guarantee admission. I wound up choosing a store that would open at 6:00 AM on RSD. I arrived at 5:30 PM the day before and camped out overnight. I along with my brother and several others of my friends secured copies of the coveted colored vinyls. In fact, a friend gave me one of his spare tickets. I passed it a long to a taper friend of mine.
In fact, I spent the week before the show trying to flood the venue with tapers. After all was said and done, I know of at least four tapers that were in attendence. I didn't want to leave anything to chance.
Ministry put on a fucking AMAZING SHOW of "Wax Trax Era" material. At first I thought that it was odd or even a cheat that they performed material from "Land", "Mind" and "Psalm" (all on Warners and and HUGE albums). Then I remembered that Al and Paul were still producing material
for Wax Trax! during this time under the guise of Revolting Cocks, LARD, Pigface, 1000 Homo DJ's and other imprints with a revolving line up of musicians from the label. The community of like minded musicians that formed around the genius and generosity of Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher cannot be overstated. The emergance of Industrial Music in all of its forms and incarnations had a profound impact on the music industry that is still being felt today. Wax Trax! was the epicenter from 1983 to 1995. The film takes a look at the founders, Jim and Dannie, and several musicians from Front 242, KMDM, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Trent Reznor, Chris and Cosey and many others. The film and it's accompanying soundtrack comes highly recommended.
Ministry put on a show that's one for the books! Everybody I spoke to afterwards was simply blown away by the performance. Al looks better and sounds better than he has over the last three decades. Hell. He did jumping jacks during Supernaut for fucks sake! If you missed one of these select six shows, I am very sorry! This recording IMHO is about as good as it gets. There is minimal audience interference with the exception of the requisite drunken chick sing-a-long to "Halloween". No special vocal guests on this night, just pure Uncle Al!
A really solid pull off a white hot stack. A slight amount of EQ was performed to even out the sound. Minimal amount of crowd noise as to be expected from a stack tape for such a loud show. I had to declap some areas. There's a few instances of the audience that can be heard between songs, but nothing that interferes with the performance or the enjoyment of the show. I made no edits. Also, "(Everyday Is) Halloween" was boosted by +5dB to bring the levels closer to the rest of the show.
Of Note:
Paul Barker was in attendance and participated in the Q & A and panel discussion after the film. Let's hope that Al is working through his 8th Step. It seems that Al has made ammends with Chris Connelly and is on speaking terms with Paul once again. Vote: Luxa/Pan 2020! Fingers crossed.
Highlights:
The thirteen songs that were performed. It was excellent hearing "Jesus Built My Hot Rod", "No Devotion" and "Supernaut" performed live. Also,"The Land of Rape and Honey" is a personal favorite of mine.
Please support the film maker Julie Nash by purchasing her excellent film "Industrial Accident".

Thanks to Dave Sez from sending me these sessions to post here.
Sometime in 1986 or early 1987 Verlaine and Dave Bascombe produced at least 10 tracks intended for an LP that was shortly thereafter rejected by Phonogram/Fontana. The known 10 tracks from these sessions are sometimes called the ‘Bascombe sessions’, the ‘1986 London sessions’, the ‘Lost Album’ - or the ‘10 B-sides’ (as the tracks later appeared on b-sides of various Verlaine UK single releases). Subsequently, Verlaine recorded the album Flash Light (1987). A version of The Scientist Writes A Letter from the Bascombe sessions ended up intact on Flash Light; the non-Flash Light, b-side version of Scientist is known as the ‘Paris Version’, and has a different spoken section in the middle. Another of the 10 b-sides, One Time at Sundown, was re-recorded in a different version for Flash Light. Caveman-Flashlight, Circling, Smoother Than Jones, One Time at Sundown (The 1986 London Version) and The Scientist Writes a Letter (Paris Version) do not exist in a CD format. Olive appears to be an unreleased track.

Soft Cell - Say Hello Wave Goodbye - Documentrary (720p)
2018 marked the 40th anniversary of Soft Cell, one of the most colourful and charismatic bands in the history of popular music. To celebrate this landmark, singer Marc Almond and musician Dave Ball reunited for an emotional, sold-out, farewell concert at London's O2 Arena that September.
With unprecedented access to Marc and Dave, this film follows the build-up to that gig and provides an intimate retrospective portrait of one of our greatest bands and most iconic singers. It shows rehearsals and preparations for the O2 show and footage from the actual concert itself, woven in with period archive and music videos.
The film covers Marc's formative years growing up in Southport and Dave's in nearby Blackpool and how the two met as art students at Leeds Polytechnic in the late 1970s. We filmed Marc and Dave in The Fenton pub in Leeds, where they went as students, and they perform an early Soft Cell song, A Man Could Get Lost, on Dave's original keyboards especially for the BBC Four audience at The Warehouse Club where the band did their first-ever paid gig.
Soft Cell burned brightly between 1981 and 1984, after their gritty but stunning cover version of Tainted Love became a massive hit, the best-selling single in the UK of 1981 and a number one hit in 15 other countries, including the USA. Dave plays from the master tapes of that era-defining song for us.
But Soft Cell were always more interested in using their success to subvert the mainstream than in becoming pop stars, as they tell us in relation to Marc's groundbreaking, androgynous debut on Top of the Pops. It was the beginning of a controversial career that deliberately defied and flouted convention. Soft Cell were influenced as much by punk as by Northern Soul and Kraftwerk, and refused to be pigeonholed by anyone, bringing a punk ethos to synth-pop while busting taboos along the way. In their heyday, even while refusing to compromise on their musical vision, the pair produced numerous top ten singles and three classic albums, selling 10 million records overall.
Soft Cell's approach was wittier and more sophisticated than the press gave them credit for. Their first album, Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret, saw them labelled as sleazy and perverted, when in reality it deliberately used the setting of London's Soho to explore the social and sexual undercurrents of British society at the time. The single Bedsitter laid bare the glamour of escapism from the grim realities of Thatcher's Britain for many, while the Soft Cell anthem, Say Hello, Wave Goodbye, was actually about a powerful man, perhaps a politician, breaking off an affair with a call-girl. The video for that album's most controversial track, Sex Dwarf, was inspired by a real headline in the News of the World. It resulted in their management's offices being raided by the Vice Squad and the band being criticised by the very same paper.
Soft Cell's second album, a deliberately darker work called The Art of Falling Apart, was recorded in New York and we will see how the duo's immersion into the underground club scene and subculture informed songs such as Heat and the single Numbers, a song that spoke about promiscuity in the gay scene and proved prophetic about the coming AIDS epidemic. Despite the prejudices of the time, it managed to reach number 25 in the UK charts.
But the pressures they felt to produce more commercial music began to take its toll on them and Marc and Dave talk candidly about how they began to drift apart and slip into the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle, with both becoming addicted to a variety of drugs. By 1983, before the recording of their album, This Last Night in Sodom, the duo had already decided to go their separate ways as otherwise, as Dave puts it, 'one of us wasn't going to make it'.
Even at the height of their addictions and near breakdowns, Soft Cell still produced a classic album with a harder, more industrial electric sound that has been cited as hugely influential by artists such as Marilyn Manson and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
After their separation in 1984, we see how Marc Almond has gone on to become one of our greatest performers, selling an estimated 20 million records as a solo artist in a huge variety of styles, from mainstream pop to experimental ventures. The film includes sequences with Marc at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, exploring his love of Jacques Brel and French chansons, performing one of the Russian folk songs he loves - a genre in which he recorded two albums of music in the early 2000s - and with Jools Holland and His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra with whom he has recorded an album, A Lovely Life to Live, in 2018. We also look at Dave's solo career with successful dance duo The Grid.
The documentary ends with the duo's rousing performance of Say Hello, Wave Goodbye at the O2.

Listen at about 0:19 of Blue Monday for the BBC 'bong'. This was punched into
the broadcast by a hapless engineer who missed their cue. Don't settle for imitation
rebroadcasts encoded via inferior lossy algorithms!
Don't buy what Bernard's saying about his "Ceremony guitar" being a 1959 Les Paul.
He's talking shite, as usual. You'll get to hear a special bonus as I've included the
Kilkenny radio interview taped afterwards, and hear Stephen fend off the interviewer's
usual barrage, a prototype of what was to come with the Other Two drawing the short
straws and doing the press rounds.

The first Plasmatics gig in germany, really good quality
in my opinion,listen to MP3 sample,a good show,a great
setlist, the band on fire this night. Sex Junkie has a cut
after 48 sec, there was a lot of riot in the audience
and someone touched my Sony DC5 at the wrong place. Part2
of Sex Junkie is titled as 6a and 6b, I set a wrong
trackmark,the same happens with track 13 & 13a,
its "Corruption" only wrong trackmark from me.

Before Gimme Shelter you'll hear the most goth comment ever heard at a Sisters gig from an audience member: "Where's my big top (h)at?".
Very good audience recording, not a soundboard as some have thought. Listen to the audience comments, a soundboard wouldn't pick those up so clearly. Also notice the moments when the taper moves the orientation of the mic and the quality shifts slightly, for example at 2:23 in Heartland, and also during Body & Soul.
