Notes:
I've started recording about 20 meters away from stage, directly in front of the right speaker stacks. Unfortunately I forgot my battery box at home, so the bassdrum is somewhat distorted on this recording, especially at the beginning before I've turned down the rec volume...
After a few songs I've moved more towards the center of the stage and the recording becomes better, it's really not perfect but listenable.
The setlist was a good mix of festival-crowd-pleasing popsongs and more interesting
stuff like "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" or "Bananafishbones". I've been looking
forward to hear the recently unearthed "Fight", "Just One Kiss" or "The Top" in the
encore, but they chose to play a pure pop encore instead... grrr!!!
Apart from this the show was great, they played very energetic and seemed to have a
lot of fun on stage. Unfortunately Reeves Gabrels' guitar was very low in the overall mix,
you could barely hear him - would have been interesting to hear his addition to
the Cure sound...
At the end you can hear Robert predicting that England will "fucking kill Germany" during
the European football championship. Well, today we know better ;)- 16bit master by scttrbrn -
