The Jesus And Mary Chain - The Georgia Theatre, Athens, Georgia, USA - 13.12.2016 (Flac)

As requested. I couldn´t find photos or the poster for this gig, so the one from 3 days after will haveto do... Very good sound.

Original Info File:

This post is all about freely sharing some great music, spreading the vibe of these bands, increasing sales of their goods and attendance at their shows and having a little fun.

To quote Sometimes Always - "I've been away but now I'm back."

Haven't posted anything in an age. Pretty sure I'll screw something up. But this show by The Jesus And Mary Chain, one of my fave bands of all time, needs to be shared.

Heard about the new LP coming in 2017 and went to ye olde internets to see what was up. Clicked on tour dates  and there they were - four weird little US dates happening within 5 days of each other. I hadn't seen the boys since 2012 and decided the 8 hour round trip to Athens was of no consequence.

Best case scenario I was gonna get a road test of the new record. Worst case scenario I was gonna get a JAMC show filled with great tried and true material. Jim addressed the new record one song in and said they simply hadn't been able to rehearse it yet so no "Damage And Joy" tonight save foir the old new "All Things Must Pass". Either way, the band sounded great. Got my first "Nine Million Rainy Days" since 1990. Jim broke 3 mic stands during the course of the evening. Good times. Sample link attached. Y'all enjoy.
